Nola Rugs has New Orleans’ premier selection of oriental rugs, with over 3000 of the finest varieties of carpets personally hand-selected by owner Sharon Schenck.

Sharon has traveled the world for over 35 years as a direct importer, working with the finest weavers to bring the highest quality handcrafted carpets to her discerning clientele. Her goal is to provide her clients with the full range of rugs, from century-old antiques, European-inspired rugs, classic orientals and cutting-edge modern rugs. Nola Rugs’ stock includes carpets for every taste, lifestyle, and budget. We serve individual customers, architects, designers, and corporate clients across the United States.

Our extensive selection of rugs features Oushaks, Serapes, Kilims, Gabbehs, Afghan Refugee Rugs, Dhurries, the best of the new reproductions of Classic carpets, and exclusive Tibetan lines – rugs from the very sophisticated to transitional to modern to even just plain fun. Nola Rugs specializes in rugs with soft colors and delicate palettes.

Our services include in-house consultation and delivery of rugs within a 100 mile radius. If you are out of town we can send or e-mail photographs and color samples to your particular specifications or our design staff can assist in determining the best rug for your needs. Rugs can be shipped on approval.

If we don’t have the perfect rug for you in stock, our specialists will source our international suppliers to find it. Or we can assist you with a custom rug handwoven to your specific needs from our extensive and exclusive custom lines.
